Respect Ya-Self was organized in August of 2006 in Greer, South Carolina. In March of 2007, Respect Ya-Self received its 501(c)(3) status.

While working as a Loan Officer, the Lord gave Pamela Williams a vision to encourage people to become homeowners and to offer free homebuyer classes. For nearly 10 years, Respect Ya-Self has given out school supplies and backpacks to low-to-moderate-income families. Respect Ya-Self adopts 7 needy families with children during Christmas and purchases several needed items, not to mention the back-to-school clothing for needy families.

All events were self-funded by Founder, Pamela Williams, until 2016.

Respect Ya-Self’s partners are: St. Matthews Episcopal Church, God’s House Christian Church, The Zone, Gandy Allmon Manor, Littlejohn Community Center, and several other non-profits and church groups.
